David M. Glad, CPA, JD
David, an attorney and certified public accountant, is the managing member of Glad Law LLC. Based in Greensburg Pennsylvania but also serving clients in the Harrisburg and Philadelphia areas, David’s practice focuses on solving federal, state and local tax problems for individuals, businesses and nonprofit organizations. David provides tax litigation, administrative appeals, audit support, consulting and compliance services for income tax, sales & use tax, property tax, and inheritance tax. David also provides business consulting, trust and estate planning and administration. David has extensive experience in unclaimed property and has managed large and complex audits, voluntary disclosure agreements and annual compliance in almost every state.
David has over 23 years of tax experience, spending most of his career at Grant Thornton LLP, where he was a Director of State and Local Tax, a leader in the firm’s unclaimed property practice and a specialist in Pennsylvania tax. In addition to serving his clients through his business, David is a volunteer attorney for the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent, where he has represented pro bono tax clients for over 16 years. David is the author of numerous articles and was published in BNA Insights and Tax Analysts.
David is a member of the Westmoreland Bar Association, the Ned J. Nakles American Inn of Court and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, where he was nominated to the Executive Committee. David was an adjunct professor at the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law Graduate Tax Program and served as Treasurer for the Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization.
David received his accounting degree from Duquesne University, where he was a member of the marching band and the debate team, demonstrating debate techniques in Germany. David received his law degree from Cornell University Law School, where he was Treasurer for the International Law Journal.
